Tumultuous times..

 Our Matriarchs and Patriarchs are making their exit.

Just like I told my little one recently, I remember when Papi was roughly about my age now, and he was seeing the exit of his aunts, uncles and even father.. 

Now, we (my brothers/sisters) are seeing the exit of our parents, aunts and uncles, having remembered them being ALWAYS around.

Oh, how we take these things for granted.  These things:  Them, their presences, and personalities, etc.    

But this is how things must be.  Where does our hope lie?

Titi is a God-fearing soul.  :)

Titi Ely passed away early Friday morning 8/28/25.  Her service will be held in Northampton, Pa. 

Mami is back home from her 2nd and last hospital discharge, and Arlene and Family are monitoring and caring for her closely every day.  She has some complications coming out of the ordeal but she's stable for the most part.

 I while back I posted a video of me practicing this sinawali form used in Filipino Martial Arts when I learned it.

Here, this FMA Master demonstrates the many practical self defense applications behind this form. It looks pretty artistic when it's done on the rattan sticks but you can see the dangerous practicality behind it when transferred over to blades, hands and swords.

The first of the Month(s)

 

We're preparing to head out on vacation with the family.  We'll be celebrating our 18th wedding anniversary on July 1rst where we celebrated our very first wedding anniversary.  This time, it'll be nice to be there with the kids.  Sharing this time and place in the continuation of God's blessings upon us is extremely special to me.  

On August 1rst, we'll be observing the 7th year anniversary of Papi's passing.  On either this day or the 13th, I might want to get out to the Cemetery in remembrance of Papi.

We painted this cement patio floor for the last tenants but we repainted it and then Claudia had an idea to add a different flooring altogether. It's a composite flooring which we think looks a lot more interesting for the patio.

-Electric switch:  I had to saw off the 3rd switch b/c controls one of the exterior lights which double as a camera.

-Wall repair:  While I was trying to repair one drywall patch, I busted another drywall portion of the wall behind... so I had to redo that one too.  :/   Handy-Jav still needs more practice as you can see.

It's been a long time since I've been able to put these to use. Some of these are still loved and used today. I'll be selling these on the FBarket place or Ebay.

Lord's Day message: Abiding or Apostatizing?

 

Nothing good can come from being unchurched and refusing to gather with the saints.  We are the body of Christ in gathering together. Since He is the bread that came from Heaven, then we need Him daily in order not to be malnourished, and endure in our walk through the wilderness of this present life.  Is Church important?  Yes, because it's life giving and life sustaining physically and spiritually.
