"Day of Covenants" -
On 7/1/12 I'll be getting baptized @ the New Life Christian Church in Patterson, NY.
After nearly 30 years since my profession of faith, I finally will be getting baptized.
".... We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. " - Romans 6:4
Claudia and I will also be celebrating our 5th year wedding anniversary. Expanding our day of Covenants for me and my household in dedication to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Happy Father's Day to all. Daddy appreciation day.
I say, bring him his slippers, a good read and make sure he has a nice cold drink throughout the day. I say make sure he's comfy on his day and make sure the word chore is nowhere to be found.

Our anniversary...
4 years later... Thanks to everyone who wished us a Happy Anniversary. Claudia and I hit the city by train then thanks to Papo's recommendation, we had dinner at Tao's restaurant on E 58th Street. The food was way better than the average Chinese restaurant. Afterwards, we hit one of our first dates almost 11 years ago at the South Street Seaport, hung out a little more and headed back home. :) It was really nice to revisit the city and go back to our first beginnings again. "A toast to our girl, Franny" who helped bring us together in 1999. God bless!

'Lil Jav - 2 weeks later...
CJ is doing well but he's become a bit fussy as his sleep and feeding routine has changed a bit.
Claudia and I are tag-teaming taking sometimes 4-hour nap shifts at a time. For now, this works for us until we have an appointment outside the house and I need to be alert enough to have to drive.
Mami has come up to the house finally and we were so glad to have her at home. It was especially symbolic for me b/c she came up on her birthday and we celebrated here at home (both her 79th birthday and mother's day). It was also Claudia's first mother's day - which is also so special.
All the grandparents are already so in love with 'lil Jav. Mother-in-law will be coming up tomorrow to stay over for a few days and we'll have two more sets of hands to assist us - which is great.
Thanks for all of you folks who have been checking up on us. Christopher says hi!

1 week later!
Our boy is ONE week old today! :)
Thanks to everyone for your patience regarding our silence the passed few days. We haven't been easy to reach due to lack of sleep and a lot of the fuss but we're finally seeing the smoke clear @ home. It's been sureal. Christopher will already have his 2nd MD check up appt. tomorrow and so far, everything is going well. God has truly blessed us. We'll continue calling a lot of folks in the next few days. And you can only imagine that I'll be creating a new "Little Jav Blog" real soon and adding tons of pictures - look out for them!
